THE COMPLETE TWELVE HOURS OF THE NIGHT., ASHBLESS, William (James P. Blaylock & Tim Powers).
3 ASHBLESS, William (James P. Blaylock & Tim Powers). THE COMPLETE TWELVE HOURS OF THE NIGHT.
[Roanoak, Virginia]: [Cheap Street], 1985. First printing. Wraps. As new. Jacket
Noted in the "Tim Powers Bibliography" Secret Histories," p. 155, this spoof was produced by Jan & George O'Nale of CHEAP STREET publishers in an edition of only 355 copies - as a special printed give-away to accompany a panel with James P. Blaylock & Tim Powers in Tucson for the 1985 World Fantasy Convention. This wonderful chapbook of only eight pages including covers reprints a 24 line poem with the line-leads being, "YOURRIGHTINTHEGROOVEKID" by the noted or should I say, un-noted poet, "William Ashbless." Much of the edition was trashed as people didn't bother to save it. The reference "YRITGK" is taken from the Anson MacDonald (Robert Heinlein) story, "By His Bootstraps." This is SIGNED by all: Powers, Blaylock and ASHBLESS! Berlyne, (ed), Secret Histories A2b.1

OCTOBER. [SIGNED], BRADBURY, RAY.
5 BRADBURY, RAY. OCTOBER. [SIGNED]
Los Angeles: Shuttlebop Press, 1983. First printing. Staplebound into stiff wraps. As new.
An uncommon little Ray Bradbury keepsake, being a slim booklet of only 16 pages including covers that quotes the author's previously lost/unknown salute to his favorite month of the year , 'OCTOBER.' This poem had only existed as a primitive recording by Walt Daugherty, upon wax paper, that surfaced in Forrie Ackerman's collection. It was transcribed and published in an edition so limited as to be distributed to friends of the author only. In discussing this item with Bradbury friend/expert/super collector Donn Albright, we reckon there might've been 100 copies printed which is the most Ray would've allowed. This copy is SIGNED by the author. Short introduction by Daugherty and Preface by Bradbury. This copy was from the Roy A. Squires collection - friend and publisher of Bradbury!
