SOMETHING ABOUT CATS was the 2nd HPL miscellanea volume published five years after MARGINALIA and noted by Derleth that this was to've been the last - "It is unlikely that there will ever be another compilation of uncollected writings by the late Howard Phillips Lovecraft apart from the forthcoming SELECTED LETTERS . . . " Then ten years later THE SHUTTERED ROOM was published, seven years after that, THE DARK BROTHERHOOD. 'SAC" includes his famous proposition that/how CATS were superior to DOGS. Also includes HPL revisions to his wife - Sonia Greene's - work, Robert Bloch, Hazel Heald, and Adolph de Castro; five essays including his BATTLE THAT ENDED THE CENTURY;thirteen poems, and and eight memoirs or poems of HPL by the likes of Vincent Starrett, E. Hoffmann Price, Fritz Leiber, HPL's wife, Sonia Davis and others. Only one photograph in this title, that being a portrait of HPL as a boy on the frontispiece. A nice tight square copy with light dusting to top page edges; a thin 1/2" pen mark at top page edge, and finger prints to cloth, else a fine copy. In fine Ronald Clyne d.j. Joshi states 2995 copies in his bibliography JOSHI: I-A-25.
