Lovecraft is less than three years away from death yet he cannot break his bonds with Amateur Journalism: As he is the Chairman of the Bureau of Critics for Poetry. His entry is headed with the following quote: "Lovecraft Finds Much Good Verse: Commends Improvement campagian." HPL devotes nearly a full-page, two whole columns to amateur verse criticism. Also noted in the column, "A.J.'s Keep On the Jump" - Howard Lovecraft visited R.H. Barlow in Deland, Fla., and the Fossil Library in Philadelphia. . . He entertained James Morton at his Providence home the first days of August." With a quick note on Robert Barlow - "Bob Barlow . . . leaves Florida for Washington D.D. for optical treatment. When he isn't caring for his six cats or indulging in a bit of amateur photography, Barlow works on his 50 chapter book."FROM THE HYMAN BRADOFSKY COLLECTION.H'mm???
