Title CLARK ASHTON SMITH: MAROONED IN ANDROMEDA one of 12 Holograph Manuscript Leaves - two pages — with WONDER STORIES acceptance letter!
Publisher October, 1930
Seller ID 984
Amongst CAS' papers, Roy A. Squires (his literary executor) discovered twelve holograph leaves of his story, MAROONED IN ANDROMEDA; Squires sold each leaf individually since pages of the manuscript were lost; the last leaf — or should I say the first leaf — the title-page — he kept for himself. So I offer herein, the holograph title-page and the 2nd page on the verso of the story published in WONDER STORIES, October, 1930 — MAROONED IN ANDROMEDA. Accompanying this manuscript page is the acceptance letter from David Lasser, Managine Editor, and the letter is typed on WONDER STORIES stationary. Having a Clark Ashton Smith holograph manuscript is quite rare as he destroyed his manuscript copies once published.
