As Derleth himself states in his preface, "The narratives in this book are, manifestly, on Lovecraftian themes. Indeed. . . the Return of Hastur was begun before the death of H.P. A few fingerprints to cloth, very slight toning to page edges, previous owner's signature and Ankh stamp, and slight toning to d.j. edges as usual, with a tiny piece of color rubbed from top of d.j. spine.
